Graphic Art I Project: Postage Stamp Design
V is For Vendetta
Remember, remember, the fifth of November
the gunfire, treason, and plot!
I know of no reason, the gunfire treason,
should ever be forgot!

Again, for my GA Postage Stamp design project due on Monday of this week for class.
I chose my favorite movies as my theme for the class.

"V is For Vendetta" is without a doubt on my top five list of favorite movies.

If the image seems different than what I usually create, that is because it is a partial vector image. These images had to be shrunk down using the 'symbols' box in Illustrator CS4. If they were raster-based PS4 images, then they would be a huge mess on the downsize. This is why they are more simplified in imagery than what I usually produce.

When I turn this in on Monday, this image is going to be 1 inch by 1.8 inches: which is the size of a postage stamp.

Media: CS4 Illustrator & Photoshop for minimal effects.

Thank you! I'm glad you liked it!
Once again, I'm new with Illustrator, so I guess it's taking me a while to adapt to the new vector-based imagery.

I've always preferred realism over simplicity everyday. (Although, that depends on the subject matter.) I enjoy cartoons and anime and such, but in the end, when I look at images of people, I applaud realism.

Thank you for your encouragement! It is greatly appreciated!
Have a wonderful week!

Oh, I totally watched that movie so much, that I hope to memorize the introduction lines when "V" introduces himself to Evie in the beginning.

That movie is just too powerful and awesome. I can't explain why, but it is just deeply profound in so many ways, that it leaves me feeling individualistic and informed after I watch it.

It definitely touches touchy subject matters that are rendered taboo in general. I  this movie about all others in my collection. (Yes, I still adore, "Labyrinth", because of it's multi-faceted meanings that Henson touches base on, but "V is for Vendetta" touches more adult subjects in my life that have more meaning to me now, while "Labyrinth" is more a hindsight movie, where it makes me recall my teenage years. I can look back and say, "Oh, yeah! I can relate to this now!" )

Thank you!  :star:

Yeah I've always preferred realism too. I do like the various other styles. But if it were a choice, realism was always better to me.

And the wrong words make you listen in this criminal world. Remember it's true: loyalty is valuable, but our lives are valuable, too.
