Sarahs ReEntry Vol 2 Cover

As a celebration of my soon to come 100 pages of SGRE, I have created two versions of a "Volume 2" cover. This one is the final design that I chose to utilize for the continuation, as it relates to the story more. Those who have read/continued to read my story, will know that Jareth is in for quite an adventure very shortly.

I have a separated Sarah's Grand Re-Entry Comics from my Labyrinth folder, because the comic is getting to big to lump in with my Labyrinth pictures.

Hello! How is everybody?

I hope all is well. By-the-by we were hit with 33 inches of snow yesterday in the blizzard that slammed us. That's almost one meter in metric.

Anyway, let me just explain a few things about "Sarah's Grand Re-Entry" within the story.

First, this is not your typical fantasy/fairytale story. It's designed to make you, the reader/viewer, think. Half of the adventure is piecing together the clues that I have provided throughout the story. Ah! No frowns, even Harry Potter had a mystery and crazy twists to it!

Goblin Queen Sarah speaks in metaphors, but if you read between the lines you'll find that everything she's saying is conducive to what is happening in she and Jareth's lives, both past and future. I'll give you one clue: Try to image Sarah and Jareth as a husband and wife trying to work out their problems together as a couple internally, instead of looking on them as two immortally bound, unnaturally perfect looking, time-hopping, and super-imposed-magically-induced super beings.

It's true the story jumps around, but stand back for a minute and really take in the depth of what I'm trying to convey.
It's a simple love/life story: Man loves woman and marries her. They face the trials that most married couples do from time to time ---- The passage of time on the relationship, the importance of raising children together (if the couple has children), juggling the balancing act of staying true to each other, while staying true to themselves, not straying to others, and overall standing the test of time.

It's just my story is being told in an abstract way, that's all. Sarah and Jareth are extraordinary characters trying to live a pretty normal life, when their world around them is anything but.

First, Jareth reorders time. So, does the Goblin Queen Sarah. Beings that can meddle with time are not bound to it like we are. In our existence, we are born, we move forward through time at the same pace as everybody, and then we eventally pass away. It is NOT the same with Sarah and Jareth. Jareth's first meeting of Sarah has just occured in these newest three pages, but Sarah's first encounter with Jareth was when she was 15 years old.

15 year-old Jareth, on the other hand, did not just meet Sarah in the 8th century, although he seemed to forget what she looked like, as he asked Mary Irene if her name was Sarah. 15 year-old Jareth knew that Soleil was his daughter, so that should clue you in that Jareth has been slipping in and out of the Underground to the Human Realm for quite some time.

:#1: Remember when the Goblin Queen officially introduced herself to 15 year-old Jareth and her speech she made, and the punishment she decreed on him for violating her boundaries without permission.

I have left HUGE clues everywhere for you to piece together this puzzle. At the end of my version of this story, all things will be tied up, and loose ends will be knotted -- so have no fear of being utterly confused forever. I will spill all details as I advance in the story, escpecially in the next scene with Toby and Sarah!

Oh! And I should admit to you all that I am a HUGE "Donnie Darko" fan, and have been a sci-fi "Trekkie" nerd since I was 5 years old. So, because of this my stories, while based on fantasy, might steer towards a sci-fi-bizzaro premise no matter what I write or do. Also, what I write into this story is from the heart. Huge chunks of this story - when you take out the fantasy element- is based on my own life experiences as I've grown and have gotten older. (Just in case you didn't know, I'm a 34 year-old school bus driver)

Anyway, I beg you to please go back and re-read SGRE and RTL vols 1 & 2, if you have time or just simply too confused, because I'm leaving "No Stone Unturned". Even the characters of Esker and Drumlin have not completely finished their part of their tale. There is more to come from these two characters.

No. This is NOT a short story, but I am a huge Tolkien/ CS Lewis Fan, and I believe that a really epic story takes a while to tell. How close am I to the end? About 85% finished.

No. I don't know how many pages this will take, but relax! It's free, so there's no need to complain.

Just sit back and enjoy a tale as told by a quite insane artist who has lived a very unusual life, thus far. ~I suspect it will become stranger still as I move forward.

Have a wonderful week!

PS: Remember: In Jim Henson's 1986 "Labyrinth", when you put aside the dancing sexy Goblin King in tight pants, and Goblins... it was about a girl's psychological journey to become a woman, so my story is a retouch of another psychological journey that Sarah must venture on as she becomes older and has a husband and a child. Think about it!

Learned to draw from Marvel & MAD Magazine. It's been a hobby, but now I'm trying to procure it as a profession. I can draw 16-26 hours a day without stopping. I think I could do this for a living. I'm a bit anti-social, even though I don't seen it. I take my art very seriously, even though I am a huge comedian. I view deviantART as a professional site, where artists congregate and display their artwork. I enjoy reading and viewing other people's artwork, and try to offer praise and sound advice (if needed). My favorite subject matter is stories/movie stories/comics/manga or fanfiction. If I can read/watch it and it inspires me, then I will draw it.

Thanks again Rebekah, for all the faves and continuing support you give me. :D
:iconaiijuin:
No problem, Ted! Thank you for all of the faves and continuing support you give to me too. Creating a story is difficult enough, but to comicbook-style it is harder, because now you have to become casting director, artist, and scene shot director all in one, while still fitting the entirety of your artwork and words somewhere into one page and then continue to do that again and again until the story is finished.
You Rock! :headbang:

At least the good thing about being completely in charge is that you don't have to worry about a director, actor, or producer screwing up your script. We get to take credit for our own blunders! :D Yipee!
:iconaiijuin:
And we get slaughtered for screwing it up too from readers.... :|
But hey, we can still say: I quit.
...and, of course, we come back to the comic again a week later, not resigned to give up so easily. (I'm a typical type-A personality, so I do that at least once a year, and sometimes twice a month if I'm having a rough week.)

What would you do if I...
-Sang you a song?
-Wrote you a note?
-Held you close?
-What if i reached up and...kissed you?

What would you do?
:iconaiijuin:
Wow! You really enjoyed my fanfiction? THANK YOU!
Not many people come here to tell me. I haven't been to ff.net for almost half a year, because I'm trying to finish "Sarah's Grand Re-Entry" comic here and full-time college this semester.

THANK YOU AGAIN!  :D
